We first started by doing the top and bottom patterns you can see in the tattoo, after that we let them heal up and then worked on the large gap left in the middle. Lauren wanted some roses in the middle and gave me freedom of style. I wanted to give detail in my own way to the roses, fine lines and darker compared to the patterns surrounding. Came out great, enjoyed doing it, shes a really nice and chilled out client, cant ask for more ^_^ Joe. Please follow me on instagram @artofgallo
Galleon Ship Tattoo by Joe Galloway
Added a galleon ship tattoo today as part of a black and grey sleeve tattoo I am currently working on. first sessions we did some basic and a few fine lines then came back and added mainly texture and the bottom area of the tattoo. I wanted to make the ship dark and ruined, looking more like a ghost ship rather than just a normal galleon. More about this Tattoo
Mandala Tattoo’s are being requested by many clients lately, is kind of the new tribal style tattoo. It is most of the time very busy looking and geometry precise. So that is why a lot of them are traced straight from a book, as it is a lot easier to do it that way. As we do custom work, we design our tattoos by hand. So that is what i tried to achieve on this mandala tattoo. More of a organic look, custom designed Tattoo.
We are giving away some Familia Tattoo T-shirts, if you are interested just drop us an email, and come and collect at the studio. We are working on jumpers next. Keep an eye for Familia Tattoo Merchandises, it is all free of charge. if anyone pop by at the Leeds Tattoo Studio, we are happy to give away a gift bag, even if you not getting tattooed.
Familia Tattoo Nerd Week
It is with pleasure, that Louis Santos and Joe Galloway present, The “Familia Tattoo Nerd Week”. We are going to spend a whole week tattooing video game characters and Comic super-heroes or villains.
As we know how far computer games have developed nowadays, we fell like its a way to inspire us artistically. As our childhood was spent mostly playing computer games, and reading comic books, we felt it was a good way to translate to tattooing, an art form that we spent most of our childhood admiring.
We would like to invite you all who like computer games or comic heroes to participate in this week of celebration of an art form, that nowadays have become even more successful than movies.
Dates to be announced in November.
